SOLIDARITY IN VILLEURBANNE: VISITING A FACTORY OF LOCAL SOLIDARITY

SOLIDARITY IN VILLEURBANNE: VISITING A FACTORY OF LOCAL SOLIDARITY

This RESOLIS special issue was produced in partnership with Villeurbanne City Council.

It is the result of a project to research and identify local initiatives to combat poverty and exclusion, and a meeting organised in Villeurbanne during the Social Innovation Forum in order to encourage the actors in the area to share their experiences. Through articles and RESOLIS reports, the topics covered in the issue are varied: food, access to rights, culture, parenthood ... in the image of the associative life of the city, "a factory of solidarity"

The edition was produced as part of the "Poverty France" programme supported by the Bettencourt Schueller Foundation.

Science Education, La main à la pâte abroad

Science Education, La main à la pâte abroad

April 2016

For 20 years, the La main à la pâte Foundation has promoted Inquiry-Based Science Education (IBSE) in France and abroad. In 2015, they organised a workshop with international experts to think collectively about ways in which they could help other countries to implement IBSE. How could one launch a pilot project, and how could one to scale it up to change the entire education system?

In this special issue coordinated by RESOLIS and the La main à la pâte Foundation, readers can discover the analysis and recommendations from this workshop and see examples of IBSE projects from 6 countries: Cambodia, Canada, Colombia, Italy, South Africa and Venezuela. A good opportunity to discover La main à la pâte's actions and to get inspired by other IBSE projects!
SOLIDARITY IN SAINT-DENIS: Some examples of three-star initiatives to fight against poverty and exclusion

SOLIDARITY IN SAINT-DENIS: Some examples of three-star initiatives to fight against poverty and exclusion

This special issue was created in partnership with the town of Saint-Denis and through the contribution of a group of students from Sciences Po Paris in Collective Projects. Produced as part of the Poverty France programme supported by the Bettencourt-Schueller Foundation, it offers a close up of solidarity in Saint-Denis: a presentation of the Social Observatory of the city, minutes of the meetings between solidarity actors and a highlighting of the results and feedback from solidarity initiatives carried out in the region.
